What drought? American tennis thriving without male stars

When Andy Roddick won the U.S. Open in 2003, many experts proclaimed him to be the next American tennis star. But things didn’t work out that way. In fact Roddick, along with every other American male, has failed to win a major since then. Despite this fact, tennis in America is not only growing, it’s thriving. According to the Tennis Industry Association, tennis is the fastest growing sport in the country and is expected to continue its rise in popularity.
