High school cancer patient rallies community to help other sick teenagers

When Anthony Catalano was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphona during his junior year of high school, he didn’t ask “why me?” Instead, he used his disease as a platform to raise awareness for those worse off than him. Through his Eagle Scout project “Tying Together Against Cancer,” Catalano collected and donated hundreds of blankets, DVDs and iTunes gift cards to other sick children at Rush Hospital.
